وأمر سمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير قطر إعلان الحداد الرسمي في كافة انحاء الدولة لثلاثة ايام .
الشيخ خليفة يعد أمير قطر السادس والذي ولد عام 1932، وعين ولياً للعهد في عهد الشيخ أحمد بن علي آل ثاني وتولى حكم قطر عام 1972 الى السابع والعشرون من عام 1995
سائلين الله أن يغفر له ويتجاوز عنه ويلهم ذويه الصبر والسلوان.
