اليوم هو الموافق لـ23 سبتمبر من العام 2016م وهي ذكرى عزيزة على قلوبنا جميعاً في مملكتنا الغالية ألا وهي ذكرى التأسيس الذي امتد الآن إلى ٨٦ عاماً من الأمن والأمان والاستقرار؛ لذا حري بكل مواطن سعودي أن يقف في ذكرى اليوم الوطني وقفة تأمل لما يعيشه من الأمن والأمان، وما يراه من تطورات تعيشها المملكة العربية السعودية من فترة تأسيس المملكة على يد مؤسسها الملك عبدالعزيز بن عبدالرحمن آل سعود -رحمة الله- .
حيث شهدت المملكة العربية السعودية تطورات عديدة ؛ وانعكاسها على المجتمع السعودي من ناحية الاقتصاد، وأن المتتبع لمسيرة الاقتصاد لا يمكنه أن يغفل عن الحنكة السياسية التي تمتع بها الملك عبدالعزيز -رحمة الله- بنظرته الإستراتيجية بعد مافتح الله على يده كنز البترول الذي كان وقوداً سياسياً في التنمية .
فيما يشار إليه أنه لم يكن مشوار النماء سهلاً أبداً على قيادات السعودية لكن عزيمتهم في بذل الجهد الكافي لتنمية المملكة وعمرانها؛ لنشهد اليوم هذا النماء الذي نفخر أشد الفخر
فإن ذكرى اليوم الوطني رمز للمواطن السعودي؛ ومصدراً لفخره بممكلته العزيزة وجميع القيادات التي شاركت في وصول المملكة إلى القمة .
ووقفة التأمل هي التأكيد على مفهوم ومضمون هذا الرمز الذي نقف ونواجه به هذا العالم بخطى ثابتة وواثقة تشق طريقها إلى المستقبل البعيد ؛مرتكزة على إرث فكري وعملي.
